In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
TEDx Dun Laoghaire and TEDx Youth are organised by a small team of extraordinary volunteers led by Janie Lazar and Susan Adams. Usually enjoyed as live 'in person events' where the magic truly happens - with Irish Sign Language Interpreters too, we go virtual when appropriate. And celebrate with music too.
In keeping with our vision of inclusion, all talks are professionally captioned so our TEDx fans from the Deaf Community can enjoy the talks with us too to maximise inclusion prior to the uploading of videos to the TED/TEDx Global platform. Any recording of talks is prohibited as this could result in a speaker's talk being withdrawn.
